Anyone else keep cows as well as horses? My Mum has a dozen, her own and some 'livery' cows. And they are SOO naughty! Much more trouble than horses. To name a few recent cow misdemeaners, we have had; 2 escapes through a good hedge into neighbour's field (both at very bad moments of course) one escape into another of our fields, 1 case of lowe (trip to vets for a/b jab) walking through wire to stand on top of a bonfire and refusing to be shooed away from the bonfire (WHY do cows love standing on bonfires??) pushing down horse rails and electric fence, knocking over hay ladder and running off with it (!?), trying to die during calving. And I thought it was meant to be sheep and horses that are trouble!

trying to die during calving?
Believe me Sheep are the experts in this matter! From the moment they are born, their sole purpose in life is to die! Any other sheep farmers on here will know exactly what I mean!

Actually I know you are right as we used to have a few hundred sheep and boy were they Trouble! Maybe I have just forgotten how bad they were....

Not only do they aim to die, but in the most stupid ways possible

One of ours keeps trying to commit suicide by turning herself upside down, from which position she cannot get up! Very stupid creature.
