So this year my cob developed CPL and on his off fore he had interigo. I have him all clipped off and managed the interigo with washing, drying and Honeyheel which got it almost perfect again.
Now here is my conflict and where advice has been tricky...he lives out and, as usual, the field is wet, muddy and horrid. His feather has grown about an inch since last clip and the foot with the interigo is a little red underneath BUT the feather seems to be protecting the mud from getting at it. On the FB CPL page ot is considered that the feather should stay off but I'm wondering if there is a case for leaving it be with the muddy weather? I don't care if he has the feather otlr not, his welfare is more important but Im stressing about whats best. I have Hydrophane Protocon I can put on but washing the leg too much in this weather seems counter productive?
Has anyone else been in this situation that can advise??
