cracked hoof ?

Canada has a big chip in his back horse on the side near the horn, has anyone got any idea of what to do because dont want it to get any worse and go onto his sensitive part of the hoof ?

also he has very sensitive feet on stones maybe hardener ?or any other solutions ?
 
There are quite a few hoof experts on here, so it would be worth taking photos of all of his hooves. :)

You will need to pretty much put the camera on the ground to take good front and side photos. :)
 
It looks from the pics that your horses hooves are very dry and from my experience using Kevin Bacon Hoof Dressing regularly on the outside and underneath the hoof could help.

Faracat's horse's hooves don't look dry to me? :confused:

OP, cracks are usually best addressed via diet. Is the horse shod? If not, the walls can be relieved a little of their weightbearing role, and this will also help.
