The ginga ninja Simba had his second run over an affiliated course this weekend, and his second top ten placing! Amy has been working hard on both him and on bringing Mallow back into fitness following six months off to rest her back following a bit of nodular skin disease and is now enjoying some outings before getting stuck into GSCE work. :(

Mallow was up first at Moreton Morrell BE90, had a fab day and also achieved her second top ten placing this year with a 34.8 double clear and 8th. An early start saw mist, frost and a perfect day, and all finished by 10.15.

The following day saw a lie in :) and a lovely test for Simba after a crisis in the warm up which was next to the water complex in which he demonstrated his ability to passage. His inner thoroughbred took over well and truly for a while but he got it together as soon as he got inside the boards, very pleased with him.

Not so inspiring show jumping though with two poles at the simplest uprights.

But xc though, he just loved it!

Ending with 34.8, 8, clear and a surprise 5th place as the scoreboard showed very few clears in the section either sj or xc. We thought it was a lovely venue and track, with great staff and volunteers, can't wait to be back next year and hopefully move both upto 100.

The plan now is to keep him ticking over until half term then some time off over the winter.
