Craniosacral Therapist

Following! I'm at the point of trying anything with my mare and this therapy has been recommended

can I ask why you were recommended it? I only ask as my horse has been displaying slightly different behaviour and after googling yeah I know you should never do it! This came up so I just wanted to look into it further so would be interested to hear who and why they suggested it:)

A whole host of issues going on, all of which have been addressed but the mare is super sensitive, she is headshy in certain situations but not your standard headshy...... it's been recommended to try and ease the anxiety she feels.

I am following this thread as I have been recommended to try one for my horse by my instructor, though I am unsure of how the therapy works. My instructor said her horse was completely changed after treatment

Both I and my horse Jay have a regular treatment. I find that I regularly have things "out" such as painful ribs, shoulders, knees, hips, and one leg longer than the other. After treatment it is instant relief.

One time was really funny, I had shortened one leg with cramped muscles in spasm, and it had been so off for so long, when she put me straight I could not walk without tripping, as I was so unused to walking with legs the same length, I had the walk a bit, be treated, walk a bit, be treated.

It is all very gentle (although the ribs treatment did hurt a bit).

With Jay, it was after this treatment that his suspensory injury came sound. I think all the compensating for the injury had led to compensations in the way he moved, and re-injury. He was sound the day after treatment, and has stayed that way. Still a wobbler, but you can't have everything

I didn't even consider it was a thing they did for humans sounds like you and your horse have benefited from it, I will get both of my horses looked at but the one I feel that really would get the most from it has also had a suspensor injury although sound he is showing slight head shaking symptoms so I am hoping it will help him, thank you for sharing your experience:)
