Crap day at Riding club show - even fell off

Went in to do the novice W/H first, had a stop at fence 6 after she shied at a pole on ground on the approach to the jump! Carried on then she did a naughty stop at fence 8! Turned her round and she just popped it a stride out then finished nicely on the stile. So onto the showjumping, knowing she had stopped was a bit nervous and did'nt ride her very well, had a stop at 3 then a worse stop at 6 and fell off!!

very embarassed!

Tried a couple of flat classes, she was quite good in the equitation, but a horror in Riding Club horse! Jumped the fence and ran off! ooops! Brought her home after that!

Oh well, roll on tomm - XC schooling lesson

Oh thats a shame Better luck for next time. Its all experience though isnt it, you get the bad and the good, just today wasnt your day, have fun at xc. x
 
Gosh....didn't realise it was your birthday...many happy returns! Hope your day tomorrow is better. We got 2nd and 3rd in our 2 classes but the rings were so tiny (lots were complaining) and I witnessed some grotty riding from one little kid that couldn't cope when the pony reacted strongly as a result....didn't leave a nice feeling. Hope the weather is better tomorrow - I'm allergic to the cold and wind now!

This weather is awful, I know we need rain, but not cold an windy too!!

Won't be nice up at Charity Farm in the wind and rain! Sure Madam will still enjoy it thou!

Got everything x for you tomm, will be waiting to hear your update. We can go to Somerford as soon as he is fit an well again, sure there will be lots more opportunities.

Will let you know how the xc schooling goes! Will try and get some piccies too, at least the ground will be ok now with the rain we have had.

Please don't complain about the rain, I have been doing a rain dance for over a week now as we have fertilizer sown and its just sitting there until it gets rained in.

Hope it doesn't come until after your lesson though.

too right, though will be having to ask for advice on how to get him back to fitness as never had a horse on box rest before? I keep prodding him and he still seems quite firm on his bum and neck - I know I'm a strange mum

Have you had much rain then as we've not had that much here yet?
 
The rain we have had has been quite heavy, our field felt lovely an springy this morning when I was poo picking!!

Weather is clear so far, fingers x it does'nt rain until after 3pm!

My tb I had before May was always off lame for some reason or another, it did'nt take long to build her back up to fitness, but there muscle does disappear quite quickly. You will just have to play it by ear and see how he goes.

Give Pidge a big kiss from May xx
