My new neddy spreads his back legs when he has a poo, I've never noticed other horses doing this, could there be something wrong with his back and he has to get into a more comfortable position to do it?

Mine does too, he also looks really ungainly when he wees and one of his legs trembles. And he grunts when pooing!

I would get your new ned's back checked anyway just to make sue as I KNOW my lad had a back injury and that is why he has learned these odd postures.
