who else is having a thunder storm ...?

We had it in Northamptonshire about an hour ago, but wasn't that bad! Apparently there have been flood warnings issued? but its not raining now??

I think we had our thunder & lightning the other day but we had some heavy rain earlier! MD just about made it home in time before it chucked it down!

I'd always be wary of leaving horses out in a lightning! Not to panic you or anything..... but they can get hit. Someone near me had 2 horses killed by it last year. I bring all mine in if I hear even a rumble in the distance.

My old cob is hardcore extreme... she seems to relax in rain & thunder I suspect if she was hit by lightening it would just make her mad. During a storm she walks to the middle of the field & eats logic suggests it is the safest place to be.

Still change some jumps around or drop a crisp packet in her normal path & we have a situation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My two were in the middle of their field last year in a bad storm and they got hit and it killed them outright, i would get them in asap if possible.

Magic Melon - where do you live, wonder if it was mine you heard about?

ive always left mine out as a friends horse paniced while kept stabled and tried jumping out but unfortunatly gutted itself but catching itself on the door. it was killed instantly. so probably safer to be kept out! just put rubber bell boots on hehe.

if you can get some to fit your fat cobs legs
