Craziest examples of equestrian luxury and wealth?

At the Cadre Noir in France, they have a conveyor belt running in front of all of the stables to muck out onto, to save wheeling it. Genius and possibly the height of luxury in my mind :D

that is brilliant - its actually through a small back door of the stable for people access - they are internal barns and the stables back onto each other with these small groom doors and the corridors that you just lift the boards up of to reveal conveyor belt underneath - horses have grand entrances at front of stable. The muck is conveyored away to trailers and whisked off.
They also have feed chutes, you allocate feeds out in a central feed room and they are whisked off in chutes to the stables, and down to the buckets. When the noise of the chutes started up the horses all get very excited!
and in their small (relative!) indoor arenas, they are levelled every day by one end wall which sweeps down to meet the other end wall and back again....

Not so much luxury and wealth as great innovation when you have 400 horses on site!

spent part of my university year abroad (degree in french!) training there - once in a lifetime experience!

Wow! That is fantastic, and wonderfully Heath Robinson! I was reading a description about big working horse stables in Victorian London which had steam-driven machines for chopping chaff and other fodder ingredients, but nothing like that for the muck :)
