Don't really know where to start. 5 stage vetting booked on Blue. Really hot day, vet turns up, prospective new owners turn up..............drama begins. Vetting going well UNTIL vet checks the undercarriage. He says that there are 'swellings' there that he cannot catagorically state are harmless, ie. Blue could be 'entire'. rig etc. SHOCK for everyone. He has never shown the slightest interst in mares (even when in season and spraying). Apart from that he flew the vetting, even the vet said he was a really good sort, very well put toghether etc. After much discussion blue goes with new owners with £400 discount to discover what is goint on. I have said I will have him back if it turns out its a NO NO. What a drama, havent slept all night and now this. NIGHTMARE or What!!!!!!!!1

I noticed about a year ago my horse had a lump down below, the vet couldn't rule out whether it was a ball or not, so he did blood test and everything was fine. He said its probably just scare tissue from when he was cut.

My arab used to swell up in particularly hot weather, spoke to the vet who gelded him definately done properly just said that some horses drop more when its hot - shhhhhh dont tell anybody that way I can have him....!

Turns out there was nothing wrong with him. Purchasers vet said that it was scar tissue with a small fissure that would need monitoring occasionally. Needless to say they knocked me down £250, I only accepted because I think it is a good home for him, why are people so mean? He was a lot of horse for the money. The thing is, it was never purely about the money. I had to know they would love him and do the best by him and I think they will. Have to move on now and let him go. I did love him though XX
