My friend is having her tb put to sleep tomorrow :-(:-( Can anyone recommend a good company able to help with either cremation or removal? We're in north cumbria. Also if the hunt removes what do they do with the body? He'll be done by injection and is full of bute etc at the moment.
Thank you

I am sorry to hear your friend is in this situation. The hunt will be the cheapest. They will incinerate the body (if they have an incinerator) because they will be unable to use the carcass due to the drugs in it.

If they do not have an incinerator the carcass will be put in a bin for a renderer to collect. I would just check that the hunt is prepared to collect a drug treated horse in the first place.

I am not local to you, but someone will respond with a name for a local collector.

How sad, its a horrible situation but did your friend not look into this beforehand? I used Leyland Crem and they may come up to North Cumbria - I think they will go anywhere if you are prepared to pay their transport costs. They are very kind and very professional, and several friends recommended them. I could have used a more local firm that the vet recommended, but I wasn't impressed by them when I phoned to ask for a price and actually, Leyland were cheaper.

The decision has been made quite quickly so theres not been much time toget things organised . Obthink she has a company called robinsons coming
