Now I appreciate I am a wuss when it comes to jumping, but I really wouldn't like to jump this horse by the look of these photos! Is it just me?

As a general moan - Why don't people take the time to find out what makes a good horse for sale photo, and then take some? So many times when I am window shopping I just can't get a good judge of the horse from the "cute" picture of someone sitting on the horse with a headcollar on, taken at an angle which shows naff all, or worse a headshot.

Moan over. :o

LOLLLLL funny advert. Two photos of it jumping, both are awful jumps....!

It drives me mad too when people use ridiculous photos.

"hunted, good jumper"!!!!!!! erm NO cat leaps!!!!!

Not for me! As said could be a back issue, or just never educated, but would not be trying to sell it as a jumper!!! I wouldn't fancy jumping a hedge with it out hunting!

Jumping definatly doesn't come natural to him, but how much is that the rider?
But it does bug me when people can't make decent adverts, the one for my old pony was a lovely advert really showed him off. If I can do it then surely anybody else can?!?

Why would anyone want to demonstrate themselves riding so appallingly?
Poor horse, I'd guess it gets a massive sock in the teeth every time it takes off

Another " poor bloody horse"

I'm not surprised the poor thing is jumping like that with that sort of rider on board pulling the gob off him .

Possibly in pain ie teeth or back, but then possibly just rider error .

The horses confidence will probably be shot now everytime a rider asks it to go over a fence from fear of getting socked in the gob .

i looked at that ad earlier too and i cant quite work out how they have managed to get him in that position in front of a jump - it just doesnt look natural at all.

LOL this is the exact advert i was going to post about earlier!

you can't tell whether its jumping or just kind of rearing over the jump! ''GOOD JUMPER''!? poor horse, obviously hasn't had the best start in life to end up jumping like that :(

I know three horses that jump that way - all have back problems and are consequently scared of jumping so rush and cat-leap. Not saying this this is the case but if I were going to look at it, i'd have its back checked first and foremost just from my association with horses that jump way!!

personally if I was looking for a horse right now I would be glad people posted photos like this, that way I would know which horses to avoid!!

Poor thing it looks horrendous!

I have to confess it does amaze me some of the photos people choose to use in adverts! It's not as if advertising in H&H and similar is cheap - you'd think people would want the best value for their money i.e. a good, striking and effective advert that's going to attract (the right sort of) attention.

If you haven't got a good riding photo, surely it's not that hard to get a decent side on confo shot to put in the advert? You can always email ridden pics to anyone interested.

God, that is truly awful, I'm selling one atm, and I made my OH take photos for atleast a halfhour before we finally got one that I said was acceptable, and that was just a standing shot :D

Lord knows what planet some people are on. It's far too close to the jump to take off properly anyway, and in the second one the rider is full on fighting with its mouth.

On the plus, she looks well sexy in trainers ;) BLEURGH.

Poor thing, hope it gets sold to a nice, knowedgeble home with someone who has the experiance to help. Dread to think what that would do to a novice rider!

Hmm.. I think the person who thinks it is a picture of a horse rearing and they have photoshopped in a fence mght have a point! The thing that really doesn't add up to me is how close its hindlegs are to the jump - I was thinking it would have had to somehow bunny hop to get its hindlegs that close??

I think it's real, I knew a horse that jumped just like that. She bunny hopped to get her hind legs close to the jump and then cat leaped over. Her owner used to gob her in the mouth....horse had severe kissing spine and was pts eventually :(

Thing is the owner actually thought her horse had a lovely scopey jump!!!!

I would not look twice at that advert!! Although I hope the horse will end up in a good home....sexy trainers too :)

Then that person is an incredibly talented photoshopper...

I don't know how, but I do think that horse has put himself (or been forced to put himself) there...

Poor thing. I hope someone somewhere gives it a second chance. Might be a nice horse in the right hands!
