critic my mare please!

Ugly useless mule, which you must give to me so i can ride around to the black beauty theme tune!! Gorgeous, no CC from me because Im a nooooob but - she's lush x

Then I apologise big time to you! Please don't let her ride you horse if she won't listen to your requests. You wouldn't forgive yourself if something happened and she came off (even just a stumble!). Seriously she isn't being clever.

i wasnt there that day as i was away, my mother filmed her riding. i try as much as in my powerto make people wear hats, (for insurance purposes as well as safety!)

i always wear a hat, for everything. I almost died due to horses so know the effects of injuries and also what can happen.

But,if is a riders own risk if they choose not to wear a hat. I cant physically make them. however next time i will stress i am not happy for her to continue without one. She is a fantastic rider but as the case in the US states, anything can happen.

Delicia is a quirky mare, and a horse, not a person, so no rational thought occurs. I will have a word but the rider in the photos is not the main rider of the horse, i am. I will press harder next time.

Not sure if you have got my reply to your PM - damn this new forum! I didn't mean to offend, it's just the safety issue that concerns me. Even brilliant riders can come a cropper especially on quirky horses (and I know what you mean... I have one too, a chestnut TB mare). Anyhoo - lovely mare! HW13 retreats as gracefully as possible :-)

But you CAN tell them to get off your horse unless they wear a hat. I won't let anyone ride my horse unless they are suitably attired, and this includes a properly fastened riding hat. Even my dressage trainer respects this!

As for the horse, she is a quite a nice looking mare who moves well, but needs more strength, and looks to be being pushed a little too much by the rider in the big trot up the long side.

She is actually a very strong mare, i wasnt present at the time so couldnt enforce a hat to be worn.

She does need more balance as such but i trust you, that trot is very natural to her. the rider is actually trying to contain it a little so that the mare doesnt over balance and break.

She does look very strong and supple for her age. She looks uphill to me in the pictures and her hindlegs match her front legs so I don't agree with the post that she is being pushed too much. A good way to build up that carrying power is on and back work, and I don't think its unusual for a horse of her level and with her strength to become a little unbalanced at times.

She is really lovely. I would just take your time with her (as you are doing) as all the key elements (paces, power etc) are all there.

P.s she reminds me of Feebie, did you know her?
