Not sure what is correct for his type - but here goes:
Makes a good overall impression - lovely outlook, presence etc. From what I can see on the pictures he moves well & straight.
General conformation - he seems to be in 2 halves at the moment - I like his front end but am not massively keen on the back end - seems a bit short in the quarters and weak in the hind leg. However, I am sure this will make up some as he matures.
Lovely head, nice markings - an attractive horse & the good temperament would be a huge plus for me.

Not a huge fan of coloured cobs but he has probably the nicest conformation of any I've seen recently - looks nicely put together, his markings compliment him and he has a lovely face, lots of mane, just how I like it

Bonus points for temperament too.

I like him. Back end needs building up and he is a little long in the back for a stallion, but nothing that bad. Feather is not what you would see on a top stallion, but I assume you are not paying more than £60,000 for him

I assume he has burnt his feather so with some TLC it could be got really nice, ditto the mane.

I would love to see him in a year's time with some work done on him - he would do very well in the show ring.

Any idea on his breeding - there is now a DNA database set up for the Gypsy Cob Having my little boy done, for my own interest as I did the wicked deed on him when I bought him home (and do often regret as so many people asked if they could cover their mares with him last season).

Andrea at Meadow Farm can help you with this.

My friends own him, I saw him about 3 weeks ago and had to go for another look he just caught my eye.

I may use him down the road on my Irish cob Mare. This is Cara , Would love for ye to critique her also.
She is 4 and about 15.3” ,

They would not produce a bad foal together.

If she were mine I would look for a short backed, smaller stallion - about 14.1 - 14.2 with a pony type head and with as much feather as possible as she is a bit lacking in this area - but I love gypsy cobs to have small heads, be short backed and with as full mane/tail and feather as possible. The up to 15 hands are very popular with show people.

That said my chap is nearly 15.1 and has very fine silky feather and I love him to bits.

However, the top class gypsy stallions charge up to £1,000 stud fees so it all depends on what you want to breed, why you want to breed and how much you are prepared to pay.
