He should grow a bit more in hight and he'll 'fill out' allot over the next couple of years. He's lovely!

I'm a 'jumper' and not into showing at all but with the little experience i've had with showing judges I know they like em fat!! right or wrong, it's just the way the showing world is I think! (Not having a go at showing people! Please dont hate me!)

I agree with this, as lovely and stunning as he looks he will be marked down for that back!

your very lucky. He looks like he has a little bit more growth left in him . But overall i cannot say anything bad about him. Except i hate his owner.

Thanks for your imput on him, im rubbish at crtiqueing horses, cant even spell it lol, what is wrong with his back? He is slightly bum up at the moment, or is there something else i cant see, as im totally stable blind..

His back is bad, im sorry but its really dipped, looks like hes already had years of hard riding- no offence.......

Do you think he should be fatter then or do you think he is fat lol....Ive tried my hardest to keep weight off him, i hate to see fat youngsters, you can nicely feel ribs but he is covered.

Oh he isnt backed yet either, and ive been really lazy and havent touched him much in 6 months as weve another that has been getting backed. This ones turn soon.

He's gorgeous. It made me laugh that in the 2nd pic he looks very Gelderlandish but then in the 3rd pic he looks very welsh cobish. He's a fantastic colour.

He's a lovely boy, but seems to be long in the back which is also quite dipped, although he does look a little croup high at the moment. You may do better under saddle, as it will be easier to disguise with tack on.

Gee wizz people, sure the horse is weak over his back, but that can be remedied with work to some degree - the first pic is very misleading as to his confo I think, makes him look horribly sway backed, but he doesn't look so in the following pics.

I think once he has matured some more, started work and started muscling over his back and once his front end catches up with his backend he will be lovely - I have certainly seen a LOT worse!

its the first and third pic it looks more extreme in, doesnt look so bad in other pics, maybe its just the way hes stood....

I think he'll be marked down for the extra set of legs and that hand protruding from his chest in pic 2 LOL

No really he is lovely.

I suppose the best you can do is build up those back muscles, I'm not sure how far you can go with it. So get some top line and for the rest of his life pessoa him.

What does everyine else think of that?

As with others the first thing that struck me was his back, but then it doesn't look as bad in the last one, maybe it is just the angle as he also looks alot higher in the bum in the first also!

Apart from that I think he will be a lovely sort when he is filled out and stopped growing

with his breeding i wouldnt even bother riding him..

break him to harness..he'd look stunning..

also the welshies can look a bit like that over the back, especially when they're at that growing stage

he does look bum high and that won't help, because he's bum high, and it looks to me to be baby growing bum high, i reckon he could grow another couple of inches in the next couple of years

welshies don't stop really growing till they're 8, no experience with gelderlanders

nice cross

In pics 1 and 3 he is standing awkwardly and is resting a hind leg. In the other 2 pics, where he is standing up properly, his back looks ok - a bit long and perhaps slightly dipped, but no more than a lot of Welsh Ds that I've seen.

He is lovely. He iwll change shape a lot in the next few years. I think his back will change, like you say he is bum high so the dip will change. Don't worry!
