Hmmm unfortunately the health and safety pdf is on a page on their website which has a broken link, so cant get the details.
Its not creosote and is petroleum based. so I wouldnt be thrilled about my horse sucking it!
Normally you would these days use a water based product, or something a bit more eco - Im using Osmo and Auro for my new stables. Both of the paints Im using have linseed oils and that kind of stuff and preserve as well as paint. But they are a lot more expensive.
If theyre using nasty stuff I would go the whole hog and get hold of creosote (agric businesses can still get it so there are ways and means), it way outperforms the lookylikey alternatives.
Agree with all that. Unfortunately they went ahead and had it done yesterday. Due to awful fumes horses have not come in since. All info I have found suggests product is only cosmetic and of no benefit to wood which is very tired building full of woodworm and woodlice so could have done with proper treating. Such is the scourge of DIY.
