I have just bought (to save him going as a scrapyard chained dog, or other unsavoury people) a beautiful young dobermann. The people who owned him had only had him a few days, they let him out in an unfenced garden, he ran after a passer-by and scared them. So his owners decided he had to go- they advertised him cheaply on a low-class sell-anything website, and I saw the ad and bought him.
He was bred in Russia, all his papers seem to be in order, and I contacted the breeder in Moscow, who told me the chap I bought him off had rang her and said he was dangerous, and shed offered him his money back if he returned the dog. She was really upset he'd sold him instead.
But my query is- he has cropped ears and a docked tail. As his docking/cropping was legally done, its allowed in Russia, can I show him in showing classes shows and would I be allowed to compete at obedience/agility with him?
