Hi.
I have a 14hh mare who's 16 years old. She's done 1.10m at HOYS, BSPS, and BE90. Of course, this was at her previous homes.
I've had her for 9 months and a couple of months ago we got a trailer (I'm 14). We've been to pony club rallies and hacks out, showjumping classes that are 65cm but that is all. We got clear rounds and when we first went got second place. For the past couple of weeks I've been meaning to go cross country schooling (it will be my first ever time). But the first time it got cancelled because of rain and yesterday the centre was closed.
There's a 60cm XC competition that's meant to be nice on Sunday, and the yard owners are really confident about me going. Lottie (my pony) can get really strongheaded but I do take her round the gallop track where I keep her and I'm getting much more control of her.
She only runs out of jumps if I'm not thinking forward and my legs aren't on, other than that she tries her heart out for me.
Should I go on Sunday or not? I may be walking the course later today. Thanks!
