I am working out of there is a certain style of jump in cross country that horses refuse most, do your horse have one that it finds more difficult or refuses more then others, if so please can you comment it to help me with my research!

one of mine hates jumps verticals going up banks - he has arthritis in is hocks and i think he's less confident jumping solid verticals going up banks or steep hills.

another hates jumping into areas where the light changes, like forests etc. he also hates if ditches appear suddenly in combinations, or any hidden jumps. he's fairly highly strung and panicy so doesn't like surprises.

Mine used to be a bit ditchy, though he's gotten over it now.

He's not too keen on water, as he doesn't like his face being splashed :D

Mine used to have problems at ditches but it wasn't him - it was me. Having previously had a horse that had stopped at everything, I always had visions of landing in the bottom of a ditch and hence transferred that worry to the horse.
