My first cross country in a while!! First off went off in the novice horse. I had a lovely round and flew everything- even the coffins and water jump- i was very proud!! We managed to get 6th in a big class so i was
Next i went in the pairs class. He was a star most of the way, except a bit of a glance off at a corner but he was leading and in his defence i don't think i set him up right! Flew around the course until a couple of fences from home where he seemed to give way from beneath me- all i remember is him sat on the floor for a good 20 seconds trying to get up! My sister (pair) said he slid down the hill after losing his grip on his bottom, attempted to do the jump so has his front legs over with his bottom on the floor
(he lost his shoe earlier on in the course) Needless to say he moved the jump and he lamed himself
Que a long walk back to box!!
But it has been a week now and he is fine now thakfully
