I'm not sure how popular this is yet, but I've been really impressed with it (just playing around with it, not been able to use it properly yet due to horses pulling Sick Notes etc), and the new Lite Version is free. :) :) :) The main version has been upgraded too.
Getting automatic minute markers worked out for 1-days... I'm not sure how good this is for inexperienced riders (lots more things to remember and think about xc, when there's already plenty, and going fast shouldn't be top priority yet maybe?) but it sounds as if it's very useful for Pros who are used to dealing with minute markers etc. I think in H&H there was a write-up and Clayton Fredericks said they'd been trialling the App, and when he realised he was on time for his markers he went for it (and won), when he'd been planning a quieter run, but had been surprised to hit his early markers...
Obviously it's not always easy to gauge your speed on varied terrain etc (also taking tight or loose wheeling of distances by officials maybe?), so could this have a huge impact on our sport?
Thoughts?

I love the app. Can't see it being a problem at one days - think its far more use to have min markers and use the watch appropriately than it is to have all these people who go N, have their watch then just ride like hell to make the time. At least with MM you have a way to gauge using a watch correctly! I've never understood wearing a watch if you don't have MM.

I had a watch for the 3 day at aldon, used the app to get my MM and then still came in over time because I needed to ride the course differently due to the horse being super strong after the steeplechase!

love the concept but it is unsuitable for nokia phones.... *bah*..... and there are no plans to make it compatible *boo*
