Does anyone know anything about the stallion Crown Cornelian. He's on the endhouse stud website - grade A showjumper, quite old now? By a Lustiano stallion out of a TB mare?

Just v interested in him and have to make a quick decision. It would to be to an Irish Sports horse 1/2 ID mare?

Sorry that is v.obvious I think everyone knows that!
Anyway, I was just thinking, is the Tourmaline rose the only successfull offspring that he's had, because I've not heard of anything else doing well by him.

I have competed against him a lot of times and he is one of the most genuine laid back friendly stallions you would come across. I don't know much about his offspring, but he is fairly heavy built but still amazingly athletic. If your mare is heavy too, you will probably get a foal that resembles a pretty Irish draft?? He has a fantastic competition record though and the Shaw family are very friendly! He is a complete powerhouse so I would think the offspring would be good for sj or possibly dressage, certainly too heavy to do much eventing. If you wanted it for eventing it would have to be a TB mare. He is getting on now but he is still out competing and looks great, doesn't seem to have any problems at all so that could be a good sign.

Well for our sins, he's been booked and semen is going off tomorrow. We've had a nightmare with semen from Ireland and obviously getting late in the season we didn't want to leave the mare empty for another year. We'd wanted a showjumper and he is one, we like the tourmaline rose, our mare is similar stamp to her dam so we'll see!!!
