Were an absolute nightmare this morning. Must have been about 25-30 of them all fighting in the trees above my school, no chance of getting my boys concentration, in the end i had to ride up the field to try to move them on but by this time he was convinced there was something very scarey up there.

What a pain.

Any ideas how to get rid

No idea!

on the subject of magpies though, my mum has one that comes and taps on all the windows of her house at 6.00am every morning! Why dear god why???

Shoot 'em trap 'em but please DON'T poison them. They will become fodder for other birds and wildlife and they in turn could be poisoned.

Our landlords use one of these:

Larsen trap

They work!

be very careful if using one of these, one of our neighbours ended up in court and being fined £1000 for miss use.

The RSPCA got involved and accused him of neglecting the bait bird, they said it did not have enough food or water.

A very expensive way to control carrion if you do not following the rules.

I second a shotgun

A nice 20 bore will do the trick!
