Yes, but it was about 10 years ago so prognosis may have improved by now. 17.3 13 year old hunter diagnosed - box rested for months and months, still wasn't right. Rested the leg funny all the time but not badly lame with it. Vets offered loss of use and a very depressing tirade of arthritis setting in to the joint etc. But it was just turning to summer so we decided to turn him out to enjoy a few summer months with his friends before making any decision. He improved, so we kept him. A year later he was sound, so we started hacking out, and eventually even hunted lightly - not the big jumping days he had done before. He was still lightly working until 18, PTS at 19 when he developed a form of sleep deprivation. No idea if this was linked to the damage to the stifle causing pain issues. Best Wishes x
