This needs stopping - A bull with its horns set on fire by some idiot human and being used as entertainment to run in the streets.
It all needs banning - respect the animals.

Totally diabolical. How they can think that is entertainment is beyond me.

I won't say the bloke deserved to die because that would be wrong, but the bull is slaughtered after I believe and he doesn't deserve to be tormented to death either.

It's entirely vile and there is, in my opinion, no reason for such arrant cruelty to exist.
I console myself with the thought that when they (the people who raise, sell and procure these bulls) die, they will arrive (briefly) in Heaven and discover God is a large black bull. Or a picador's horse. They are often Arabians, apparently. My particular breed.
If tourists stopped attending these hideous events, they might die out, but I think that it is, at present, a source of income in a relatively poor country.

They don't bullfight with horses in Spain anymore.

They do in Portugal and use Lusitanos.

I hate bullfighting, I mean I don't eat cows anyway as I feel bad about it.

Picadors are different and are still used in Spanish bullfighting as far as I know. They are mounted, and are used to weaken the bull (with lances) in the first stage of the bullfight. Afterwards you have the banderilleros, then the matador/ torero themselves.

I had been told (in Spain) that they weren't used anymore, but I can't say I go watch so could have been miss told.

Thanks, HashRouge. You have elegantly explained the nasty scenario.
I still hope that the people involved meet a very angry bull at some point . . .

Spain has some weird traditions! I hate any animal cruelty.
Hopefully will be gone in the next few years. I remember when I worked in a travel agency I had clients looking to go to spain for the tomato throwing festival! I meant, fgs ? just going there specifically to be pelted with ?

I think the spiking is absolutely abhorrent but even if they stopped that there is no place in the world these days for taking a frightened and angry animal and taunting it to attack you, in an arena it can't escape from, for the mass entertainment of a paying audience (for what my opinion is worth).

Culture and tradition be damned!
