yep - showing on Friday - biggest tip is to wear some comfortable shoes and take a bottle of water - the air can be very dry in the NEC. Also never touch any of the dogs on the benches without their owners permission - I once found a child sitting with my dog on it's bench having their photo taken

- you can stroke the dogs in the Discover Dog section though.

be prepared for huge crowds - there are over 22000 dogs entered and thousands more visitors every day - the queues for the ladies loos are always horrendous and for any food ( take a packed lunch !) - arrive early if you want to get parked up easily and remember where you left your car - every year there are several lost souls wandering round the car parks trying to find their car.

Crufts is an experience ( although not my favourite dog show

) - hope you enjoy it !

I've been once when my parents dog qualified. It was good to see but there was loads of sitting around waiting for our class! I'd quite like to go without a dog and have a proper look round!

I second the comfortable shoes and bottle of water. I've been a couple of times. I would also take food with me if I were you. The food is expensive and the ques are long, especially on Sunday when it is so busy. Have been told there is a cloak room there, so if you have a lot to carry you can leave it there. Too warm for a coat, jumper is fine.

I am going on Saturday and I'm doing a couple of shift with my dog Millie on the Pets As Therapy stand in Hall 4. The more the merrier, so anyone who wants to come along and meet the dogs, come over and say hi.

I have been a few times and mums dog is goin this year showing on friday, tips are take comfortable shoes plenty of water and snacks and most importantly MONEY!!! so much stuff to buy.

Have been pretty much every year of my life... i actually dont like it... find all the sitting around and stuff really boring (but thats if your showing). if its your first time tho it is usually loads of fun... but dont forget that crufts is about the showing, not the obedience etd etc. so dont forget about that!

take comfy shoes as you have to walk miles from car parks etc. My dad is showing one of our huskies in veteran bitch... decided not to take any others beacause of the judge etc etc. so make sure you look out for a white husky!

oh and be sure to stop by the husky dicover dogs stand on sunday as i expect i will be there! sat in the pen with some of my lot as always!

hopefuly next year i will be able to show my show champ again (got pups at the mo)!

I go every year, I love it. I'm going on Saturday this year but I was at the final when Dee-Dee won (the whippet) and I cried!

My tips would be take plenty of cash if you are planning to spend because the credit card machines take AGES. Take your own food/drinks because the food at the NEC is very expensive... and don't forget to check out all the breeds at the Discover Dogs section. Most of the breeders who are showing aren't too keen on you petting their dogs as they are preparing them for the show. If you want to love and fuss some dogs, go to the Discover Dogs bit instead!

Have fun. God I am SOOOOOO excited about Saturday!

Been every year for last 7 years.
Comfy shoes, water and loadsa money. Also find a bag on wheels really useful as loads of carrier bags start to hurt your hand and its a long walk to the car park!
Be prepared to spend, spend spend!!
