Who is going this year and on what day?

I'm going on the Saturday with my Mum and my youngest Pointer, Fifi. Getting ready for a super busy and long day! I think we have an entry of around 260 Pointers for just one judge, so, early start and late finish!! This year the person judging Pointers "should" (everything being equal) quite like Fifi

Luckily for me grooming requirements are minimal but I'm making sure she is getting in as much galloping as possibly so that she is looking super fit for the big day! A couple of weeks after Crufts she's likely to be field trialling with my Hubby and I'm hoping that means one day I'll be able to enter her in a field trial class at a champ show!!:D:D

Not attending but will be watching with very great interest the large novice ABC agility final that's being introduced for the first time this year - it's probably the only format in which we'd ever be able to compete at Crufts and in my wildest dreams we'll be there one day. :o

Wasn't going to bother til I saw this new career zone with all the fee lectures in it, could quite good!! Thurs or sunday for me!

Ooh which day is the ABC agility on? I would rather like to see that!

Jumping classes are Friday at 8.00, agility is at 14.20 - that's large novice ABC and medium ABC. :)

The breeds competing in the large novice are Australian shepherds, a golden retriever, two labradors, a kelpie, a weimaraner, a springer spaniel and a BSD (terveruen).

A staffie missed out on competing in the medium by just one placing, such a shame, would have been a great ambassador for the breed. Other breeds in the medium include mini poodles, a sheltie, a toller, a beagle and an Australian shepherd, cocker spaniel and kelpie that obviously were favoured by the measuring system!

No German Shepherds in the ABC ?:( I was really peeved that the class was introduced just after I retired my girl from agility, she got to Crufts twice but in teams, would have been great if there had been something like ABC to aim for.

Incubus Janus (GSD) got through to the semis at Discover Dogs but they only pick the top ten for the final (no more than two of any one breed despite the placings). It's dominated by the BSDs I'm afraid!

The 'proper' ABC championship is at Olympia, this is specifically a novice (grades 1-5) which is nice. :) The medium is open with half a dozen champions in it.

Ah thought they had moved the final from Olympia. A friend has a shepherd who is doing really well, I don't understand all the new gradings but he is in one of the higher ones.

Four of my mini bull terriers are going,we have, for us, a huge entry of 65.The judge is an American who is highly thought of and has been "in" bull terriers since the very early sixties.Looking forward to it,four girls going, but one Esther ,I have very high hopes for,we are second in the ring on Thursday.:)

Going on the Sunday but staying overnight Saturday as Blaze is in special puppy which is at 8pm ! , all be over by 8.30 so plenty time to shop. it will be my 13 year old 's daughters' cruft's debut with Blaze , just nice to be there wether they get placed or not :)
