Crufts 2026 roll call

Is this where I admit that I used to show a cocker 😅

Splitting the driving with a friend but we’ve only been given one car park pass between us which feels a bit stingy, in previous years we used the second on show day.

Job for the weekend is sticking eleventy billion stickers on rosette centres to hand out to the kiddiewinks on DD.

Also trying to get some last minute weight on the dog which he thinks is marvellous 😏

Are you there on Sunday?? We can continue the tradition of people from HHO who show my dogs for me doing better than I do with them.....

I feel you on the weight thing- I dared to go on holiday for a week at the beginning of Feb without him and he went on hunger strike. He was already fairly lean as it was the end of the shooting season.

Amazing how little time it takes for him to resemble a hat rack, but the struggle to get it back on is real 🙄

I’ve hopefully managed to wrangle the Discover Dogs Logistics 🤞🏻 time will tell if it ends up being carnage 😳 thankfully all of my awesome volunteers have a good sense of humour 😊

Dogs are bathed, much to their disgust. Should probably get packing, we’re leaving after work on Friday and on discover dogs stand (G6) on Saturday and Sunday. Then showing in the BASC ring & Breed ring (hall 4 ring 16) on the Sunday.

Bath night tonight here, I have caved as decided he needs all the help he can get. Best done tonight for Saturday else coat remains too soft. I don’t suppose the public will notice this on DD tomorrow 😂

Many stickers have been stuck, I have about 300 left to hand out if anyone has a burning urge to display that they have met a schipperke!

Must go and clear out the car.

Apparently Pooch and Mutt are doing samples and free coffee, hall 3.

Hope the practice went well 😁 we’ve got ringcraft tonight, not that I really have time to attend!
 
We created BASC gundog ring and commandeered the "big dog" ring for practice....dogs all good, humans very unserious as we were all out gundog training and for lunch earlier in the day. General gist is that it is now a race from ferry port to cottages but you have to prove you've stopped for coffee, dog walk and lunch (aka 3 pit stops) en route with photographic evidence in the group chat. Yes, the entire Irish team is staying in one place 🤣 Last one in buys drinks on Saturday night.

I’ve got to see if I can keep my husband ‘just’ sober enough to skip around the BASC ring with Ivy at 14.45 on the Sunday 😳😂
 
See you both Sunday....I'll be having a mild breakdown at all the clashing classes and hoping I can get at least my own 2 dogs into the ring

MAYDAY, MAYDAY!!! I can’t find my pretty fancy feathery show number arm clip thingy. The judge is DEFINITELY going to withhold now 😳🙄🙈😂

Looks like I may have to interrupt my discover dogs day on Saturday with some shopping…
 
Good luck to those competing :) I'm going tomorrow for some shopping. Out of interest, how do you get to do the discover dogs bit? Clover would love people meeting her all day :D
