Pastoral covers the herding dogs, e.g. German shepherds, collies etc. I think dalmatians are still in the Utility group.

Nice Res placing for Satinbaze!
A big class too! And a friend who goes to my agility club had a 2nd and 3rd with her flatcoats.
......and the Flatcoated Retriever won the group, brilliant!

Hurrah for Flatcoats..... the best!!!!!
Well done satinbaze.
So when you refer to English bred, are the main lines from another country? I always thought of flatcoats as being a British breed.
Thank you everyone. I was so pleased with Tiva as it was a big class with 27 entered ( yearling bitch) and Tiva kept showing righ to the end and she moved round the ring with such drive. She was the highest placed all english breeding in the class.
The dog that won the gundog group is a real showman and although owned by a swede he is English bred.
Very tired but happy owner, handler and pupster. Will be there again tomorrow to watch a friend handling a Tibetan mastiff
Not singly it isn't!
Alec.
He can just about hold it together on the table but he's a sod on the move. Had a cuddle with dad today and was told that the sod-ness is genetic... *tears out hair*
I sincerely doubt that anyone but me is interested but in light of earlier fit for function discussion - during tomorrow's Ch 4 coverage there will be a short section about working Siberians from a well known dual purpose kennel including some footage of racing/training.
