Cryptorchid

I didn't get mine tested, but both me and my vet suspected it. At 2 and a half, he went in for a rig op, and it was confirmed the other testes would never have dropped, as it was shriveled up near his kidneys, and the size of a walnut. Personally, i'd give him until then, and if he hasn't dropped, get him treated as though he was one, and have the rig op.
 
Can vary between £450-550, he wasn't done by the Liverpool Vets. He stayed overnight and came home the next day.
I'd shop around if I were you, as they charge up to £1,000 at some of the bigger vets.
 
Oh and just to add, I think the fact my youngster was done standing rather than flat out made a big difference in the price. I was quoted £7-800, but that didn't include the 3 day stay, which pushed it into the £1000 region. Where are you based?
