Michael Whitaker & Insul Tech Portofino 63 won the Barcelona GP (30,000 euros) on Friday evening. John Whitaker won the next most prestigious individual class, the Queen's Cup (1.55m) on Saturday with the skewbald Nepos Van Limbo, the fastest of 6 double clears from a field of 44 starters. At the Ugar CSI-W in Ribnica, Slovenia on Saturday, Charlotte Platt & Lacanda won the Grand Prix (1.50M) (5000 euros to the winner) with Ryan Prater & Otage taking 2nd and 3,500 euros. Although it's a World Cup qualifier, as Western European riders they cannot take the points from Central European League events - only W European League and North American Leagues can be counted. The only British rider there is Richard Robinson who has been placed including a good 8th with Ollipop in a class won by Ludger Beerbaum with Couleur Rubin.
