CT scans in Head shakers

I have a cheap and cheerful Amazon unbranded nose net. It is stiff and mine doesn’t really touch the nose yet still fixes the problem. Cost me around £13.

The liquid global herbs supplements are really good and could be hidden in apple purée/carrot purée or similar.

Thank you all. The few normal looking ones all touch too much. I have tried several and even the really nicely shaped he hates. In fact the shaped ones seem worse.
The bucket thing is weird! I wonder if that’s what she means 🤷‍♀️ I can’t imagine riding in or him liking that either!

I also posted in a head shaking page and Shakeaze nets were suggested. I like the sound of them. They are less shaped so maybe sit away slightly more but their design is based on wind/air interruption to the nostrils. As he is definitely wind affected this may be worth a try. I’d love to find one second hand. All these things are adding up right now!

Not tried Global Herbs. I always think of their supplement as being quite strong flavour and smell wise, however I could add it to my syringe!

I’ll try getting the salt and magnesium in consistently for a while first so I can see if it helps at all.

Was planning on getting on today, typically it’s rubbish day and the combines are being serviced on the yard so will be stood running all day with people everywhere which is annoying and may not be a clever day to get back on after a while!

I was queen of nosenets when I had my gelding. I found it was the net moving that caused issues. so if I could get it to touch but at a constant amount, it was OK. which is why i used a thick one and a flash to hold it down. There is a cob at my yard who is ridden in one of the bucket nets, he does ok but only very light work.

Sorry to hear that.

Yes this has gradually worsened each summer, it’s odd though in that some days I’d expect him to be bad he’d be really good and vice versa.

I spoke to the vet at B&W about the electro acupuncture last year, she sent me the info on an email which I must search out. I’m going to give the normal acupuncture a try first though as it’s local and he’s not a “terrible” head shaker.
We also spoke about nerve blocking the trigeminal nerve but the side effects and potential issues are pretty bad, I don’t think I’d want to risk that.

Did insurance cover yours?
Hi, sorry to jump on. I was just wondering if you’d be willing to share the info with me that B&W sent you regarding the electro acupuncture? It’s something I’m highly considering for my own horse. Thanks

Hey no worries. The electro acupuncture wasn’t b&w but I’ll see if I can find the info on the work up/treatment they do there and yes I’m very happy to send the acupuncture info too.
Do you want to pm me an email address? Or I can try and copy/paste via message here 🤷‍♀️

Thank you! Happy to send you an email address… just not sure how?

I'll message you. then you should be able to reply. I can sent the Electro pen bit today as I only got that recently, but my laptop has signed me out of private emails helpfully and it always takes an eternity to get back in. I'd need to search for the other but can do that over the weekend if thats ok :)
