Hi all, I wonder if anyone else (particularly male) have experienced this.
I have had my mare less than a year. She's a big girl and can be quite loving and cuddly. We turned them out a couple of hours ago, and an hour later decided to rug them up in case the weather gets bad. I rugged my girl in her paddock, she just stood there while I did up all the buckles and straps. She would then not leave me alone. Where ever I walked she followed, if I jogged she trotted, run and she would canter along to keep up. She then kept walking in front of me so I could not get near the gate.
She wanted lots of fuss and if I stood still she would not just stand next to me, but make sure we were in contact.
Normally when she is in season she's a proper grump, but not this time. She has always preferred men to women, but never to this extent.
I wonder if it has anything to do with last week, when I took the week off and took her to my instructors every day for a lesson???
