Hi everyone just wondering if anyone has hear of/rides at Cullinghood EC near Reading, Berks.
Am thinking of going on a riding hol there.

Also would love it if anyone could reccommend other riding holidays - won't be looking to go further up than coventry or further west than Devon as train fares are so expensive.

Please share your experiences either on here or by PM if you prefer.

Woodland fruit strudel and ice cream for any replies :D

Theres a great new trekking company started up on the Quantocks in Somerset, aptly names Quantock Trekking, local B and B's and im sure they would be able to tailor you to a few days/weeks trekking to suit your holiday? Not sure exactly what you are looking for!

Took a look at their website - looks lovely but unfortunately not what I'm looking for :( Thanks anyway though :)

Should probably mention I am looking for somewhere where I can have mainly lessons - hoping to get back into jumping - not overly interested in hacking as thats what I mainly do at home...

I've had some lessons and gone treking at Cullinghood. I thought they had lovely horses and good instructors. The only thing is I found it a bit too safety conscious, eg, my then bf fell off after a jump and the owner didn't want him to get back on and do the jump, but he insisted and she allowed it after the instructor agreed with my x. I also found it a bit expensive. There was a pub nearby called The Greyhound which did nice food and was a bit of an excentric experience. If you like efficient, smart places dont go there but if you like the quirky and atmospheric then do go there.

I had some good lessons and fun treks there on well trained horses and I would recommend it, my only reservation is the cost.

Thanks!

The price for the holiday is £180 for 3 days (live out), so £60 a day for 2 1/2 hours of riding plus stable management lecture. I've never been on a riding holiday and even been to a riding school in years so no idea if this is good value or not?
