There seem to be a fair number of dodgy farriers, judging by some of the responses on here!

I pay by cheque, sometimes cash if I've 'temporarily misplaced' my chequebook.

I did actually mean 'all he has to do with regard to getting the money in the bank' as opposed to the other things I'm sure he has to do- with cheques we used to get 2-3 a day which meant we had to go to the bank at least 2-3 times a week. For us, now they have closed the easy to park outside for free bank inside the local Waitrose, we now have to pay 50p car parking as it necessitates a special trip to the shops, taking at least 20 minutes often longer - although fortuitously one of my staff generally takes it on the days she works as her daughter's school is near the bank.

Cheque as I am never there when mine are shod , YO is.
Since Attys are £110 a time no way could I expect YO to pay it then I pay her back.

When cheques go, how will I pay him? A card will require me to be there and I'm not happy leaving that amount of cash at the yard.

Good job I've got 8 years to figure it out really.
