Current grass NSC levels

My laminitic has been on restricted grazing all summer so I have a paddock with foot high grass just waiting to be eaten.

Over the last few days, I have been allowing him on the grass for a few hours at a time in the morning if there hasn't been a frost overnight. Am I wrong to be doing this?

if i was you i would try and find a friendly some friendly sheep to graze it down, then set up a track round the outside, so you keep him moving and eating
