So I am on the lookout for a horse yet again as its not really working out with my loan wvtb horse as he is a beautiful but young and silly thoroughbred and just not what I wanted (it wasn't really my idea I got sucked in!) though it pains me to see him go :-(
I fell off him and broke my elbow, had to have surgery to repair my tricep tendon and its going to take 3 months to get better! I am not scared to get on him again but I have to be realistic that I am mostly going to be hacking alone and we have a fair bit of roadwork, plus it's hard not to have your confidence knocked a bit! It might be OK if I was on a yard with school and people around all the time, but I have a rented field although I do have neighbours.
Realistically he will probably end up staying in my field until sold as owner doesn't have space and I have had him on loan longer than she has owned him previously anyway!
So on a lighter note, I want an Haflinger, Connie, or welsh D of the over 15.1ish variety! Have seen a lovely haflinger mare that is 10 years old and in budget, I so badly want to go see but I still have the bad arm so cannot ride :-(
Nice sensible horse now, buy further young silly horses in addition to this when I have enough money for two (student at the mo) that is the plan
