Hi there
I need to put some weight on my ISH who is prone to ulcers. I don’t want to make her fizzy either.
She currently has:
Micronised linseed
Gastri aid
Ulsakind cubes
Ulsa balancer
Ulsa-chaff

Someone mentioned Cushcare would be good to add? Thoughts please? X

Id swap the ulsa cubes for something like pink mash condition or copra , or even just some unmollased beet.
Ad lib haylage? Grazing?

I put my 20 year old ex racehorse on it back in October as he had lost weight. Even without feeding at the top of what they suggest he put weight on. That was just the Cushcare and chaff plus hay and grass. He’s on a very small amount of it now. He was on holiday when was he was on it in higher amounts so can’t say if wound him up but he was pretty much normal self once back in work. He’s a little fresh but nothing much for this time of year. Definitely recommend it for condition. He did have ulcers about 8 years back but I don’t specifically look at feeds from that viewpoint more the starch and sugar.

Very highly recommend cushcare my Cushing's mare was one who lost all her condition and topline before being diagnosed and it put her back to looking great as well as being on pergalide. I have lost her now but still use it for my other elderly mare.
