My horse has been diagnosed with cushings disease. It's in very early stages so he was only showing mild symptoms luckily but he will now be put on pergolide.
Iv heard that if you get a prescription from the vet then it is possible to purchase pergolide from a local pharmacy much cheaper than the vets can supply it to me for, as its the same medication that is used to treat Parkinson's in humans.
Is this true and can anyone recommend anywhere I could purchase it cheaply? If anyone has had any luck treating cushings via any other method I'd be interested in hearing about this too
