Cushings in a 10 yr old or something else?

What were the signs she was showing if you don't mind me asking?
Just seen this.

This was in March. It was mainly the lethargy that alerted me initially, she became very soft and dopey. Then I took a good look at her, realised she'd lost weight (which was good, as she'd been too heavy before, 16.1hh and 695kg), but also her top line and she'd developed a droopy belly. Her eyes were looking bleary, and her coat was dull. Then I thought she looked a little off on a tight turn, so thought it was a good idea to test her. I've already got a 16yo with Cushing's :(, so I am aware of the danger signs, but even so I still somehow wasn't expecting a +ve result with this mare. She had passed a full 5 stage vetting from a top referral practice 12 months ago.

Still, she has it, and at least I found it fairly early and got her onto the Prascend pdq.

Good luck with your lad, but I'd get him tested sharpish in case he gets lami in the meantime.

Hmm yeah sounds very similar, last night he let me hold his head in my hands for a good minute and didn't try to move, and this is from a horse who is very precious about his personal space and being touched! Toby hasn't lost weight yet but his belly is getting more barrel shaped and his top line has always been terrible despite all of the work going into him! He's being tested next week and I'll keep an eye on him in the meantime! Thank you!
