Cushion Ride?!!?

hi, u may find these threads useful. We are having a woodfibre surface installed in the next few weeks as aside from some of the negative comments on here iv heard rave reviews & have been to ride on a couple myself. The type of wood you buy has a major impact on the lifespan of the surface, ie if its recycled pallets it will probably need topping up in 5-7yrs where as new un-aged wood will last 10-15yrs.

And a couple of good websites:

Yes I had it put down a year and a half ago and love it. Couldn't justify the cost of a sand/rubber type surface as only me using manege but it has been ideal. Previous wood chip surfaces have been slippy and inconsistent in quality / size of woodchips. I have found Cushionride to be good value, its easy to maintain and horse goes well on it. A friend recommended it to me and she is having her first top-up after 3 and a half years of using her surface.

My cushionride has been down 2 1/2 years. Used every day, has never been waterlogged & only froze once, which was a couple of months ago when it was v v freezing cold & we had all the snow.

Couldn't get planning for an artificial surface as the planners were being tricky.

Thanks guys REALLY REALLY HELPFUL

Looks really nice, you seem to LOVE it or HATE it ha ha

And I show and hardly ever jump and when I do I usually go like round a friends ect for some fun, So it really would just be used for schooling

xx

Doesn't woodchip rot down though? I've got it around my roses and have to top that up every year..... not too expensive for a small bag for garden use, but must be expensive for a menage?!!
