Custom made doubles?

Hi all, I have a horse with a funny shaped head and I want to do some more showing with him next year. He is xfull width around the nose and throatlash but cob sized most other measurements (deep through the jaw).

I was hoping to get a bridle custom made to his measurements. Does anyone know if any of the major manufacturers will do this or an saddlery that will do a good quality mail order? I have a friend that had an elevator made which she was very happy with, but I was hoping for a hunter style bridle.

i had one made for exactly the same problem. David at Village saddlery in Warrington did it. Its beautiful i am sure he' d nake you one if you spoke on the phone with the measurements

Yvonne at Sabre bridles was very helpful recently.

I needed a hunter noseband but and extra half inch in width, a longer brow, padded poll and odd sized cheeks. They really took time and explained how to measure the pony properly and had a look at a pic of him in his old bridle to check where the buckles etc sat. They custom made a couple of parts and mixed their stock pieces to get a perfect fit. They turned the order round in two days and I had it in time for my show. Quality fab,
(and I'm happier with this than my Elevator which my other horse has.)

Thanks for the tips, village saddlery is relatively local so I will pop in and have a chat to David. I'll also phone sabre to do a price comparison!

Any saddlers who offered subtle variations on the different component parts would make a fortune!
