to all you more experienced people than me. One of my clients horses i treat with sports massage (i am trained) saddle fit no problem, he goes forward in canter and walk no problem, trot work he does not always go forward in. Tail swishes sometimes apparently hard to fit saddle to as big shoulder and they move forwards on him, current saddle not too bad. Any suggestions, he is tight across pelvis. What are the signs of kissing spines, he backs off in the trot canter trans only on the right rein swings quarters in sometimes. Rider is reasonably good and is aware of riding correctly has tution regularly. thanks

the horse tends to dip the back and hold it rigidly with muscles in partial spasm.

If its rested for a short while, it goes but only temporarily. Rest treatment to be effective is 6 months

Trying lungeing or a different rider to get full view of situation.

Posting out of rythm, or in a slightly odd manner will produce a strained trot.
