Customizing your Hi-Viz

Hi everyone, I have a navy blue exercise sheet which I really like, it fits my ridden horse very well. I would like to add some Hi Viz/Reflective bits to it for use over winter now I am back at a yard with on road hacking. Can anyone tell me how best to do this and where I can get what I need from? Thanks

I did this as a Christmas special.

The pink hi-viz strips were made from a hi-viz martingale, the exercise sheet was an ebay 99p special and I added the the tinsel and led battery powered LED lights for extra X-massyness.

Thanks. It looks far worse in real life as my sewing skills are not wonderful, mainly because the sewing machine hates me. I think that I broke two needles making it. Ooops. But it's not fallen apart, so I'll use it again this year.

You can get hi viz tape and ribbon on ebay you can get quite creative

If you are customising your rug you must get the balance of 'Hi Viz' & 'reflective' right. Hi Viz is good in the daytime & will be seen but reflective won't be seen until headlights are being used & only then will they reflect & you will shine out.

TZ - I agree with you. I still wore my yellow hatband and tabbard as the rug above doesn't have a vast amount of hi-viz pink on it.

I want to get a Newmarket stripe one and do stripes of reflective bits and hi vis its going to be real jazzy!
