so the mud fever seems to be clearing up and looks a lot less sore and pink since using keratex powder and using equi chaps. he has now started cutting himself on his heels I think from his shoes. It started only when he was jumping but it's happening all the time now and they bleed quite a lot, like today blood was pouring from them but when I cleaned them up they looked a lot better. Have some pics but not great....

What shall I put on them? I have stopped keratex on his back legs and says external use and scared it will make them sore. ATM using sudocream and trying to keep them clean but they are in such an awkward position as never get a chance to heel due to movement etc. I don't really want to keep him in but I feel this is my only option :/

I am thinking that he is opening the cracks when ridden as his legs are flexing more?- hence why it started when jumping and now they are there doesn't take as much to reopen?

i am worried over reaches will just rub on them? have thought about sausage ring but the same problem. yes im thinking so too ester, not sure how to deal with it?! i just need a good horse proof plaster!
