I took Zoom xc schooling yesterday and when we got back I noticed a small cut right on her coronet band. It is about 1.5cm long and right in the middle of her off-hind hoof. It is almost like she has chipped her hoof.

It bled when I applied pressure to it but she was not lame at all and was only sore when I really squeezed it. I cleaned it and put sudocrem on. If it was anywhere else the cut wouldn't worry me at all. But I know that coronet band injuries can be dodgy. What should I do?

I wouldn't worry to much about it if it has stopped bleeding and she isn't lame with it. It sounds small so just jeep it clean and dry. Try to let the air to it but if turning out in muddy fields or even stabling with bedding perhaps bandage but try to let the air to it for a good amount of time at some point to allow it to dry out. If heat and swealing starts them maybe a week of anti-biotics would help.
