Cut on leg keeps bleeding

My horse cut his leg open on Friday night and we bathed it and made sure it was clean with salt water and then put some dermalgel or dermasol?? Can't remember it's name.

Anyhow I've just been keeping an eye out on it anyhow he's come in today and it's been bleeding (I can tell because he's got a scar on his legs and that was pink)

Anyhow I've sprayed some purple spray on it today I'm trying not to mess with it

Any advice???

I think he's been rubbing it by the way

Well how bad was the cut? It probably needs stitches.

if it is not a cut that needs stitches try and see if your vets do something called oily oil ointment. my vets stock it and apparently made by liverpool university and worked a treat on healing a cut on my horses leg

Its not massive it's about 2 cm in length.

He does scratch his head on his legs though so I'm wondering if he's pulled the scab Off??

I'll ring vets up and ask tomorrow
