my horse has loads and loads of cuts and scrapes all over and around his nostrils, why is this? should it be something to worry about as their are loads!

no! put he seems fine when ridden, he doesn't run into things ect!

My mare has a few little scrapes on her nose, I think she is rubbing her nose on fence posts etc due to flies annoying her!

Without a picture it is difficult to say what it is, but could she be eating from a hedge that has sharp twigs/ thorns? My cob gets scratches on his nose when he snacks on the new shoots in the hedge of his paddock. He also loves picking off the blackberries when they are in season!

Could he be blackberrying? Mine are. They're despierate to get at the berries hidden in the hedge and get all sorts of nicks and scrapes trying to get to them!
