Cyclossage Massage Rugs

I got one for xmas - I have been using it on my ex-racer who is rehabbing from KS surgery and double hindleg neurectomy (PSD).

Not sure if it has changed him riddenwise as I am not due to get back on board for another 2 months but he has been on box rest for 6 mths and is certainly flexible enough! His muscles do feel softer and he warms up very quickly (I put the warm up on before lunging and the intensive after lunging if he overdoes it and spends most of his time on 2 legs).

You do need to make sure it fits properly otherwise it bunches up and the massage pads don't touch the horse and it needs to be tight for the same reasons. Mine is a v compact 15.2hh fine TB and the horse size is a touch too big for him so I need to make sure it sits on him just so (he takes a 6'3" horseware/fal rug).

It massages all the places where he needs help in particular the neck and sacroiliac area.

I also have the equilibrium massage pad and I think the action is quite similar but the cyclossage goes over the whole body. He didn't bat an eyelid when he first had the cyclossage on (used the having equilibrium pad on every day) and it is very quiet. It is also really heavy and when in the bag takes up half the boot of my 4x4.
