D&H Suregrow, heating?

My 18 month old girl is doing well on just ad lib hay (no turnout at present, will change soon though) and I have been giving her suregrow past 10 months, anyone found suregrow to be 'heating'?

I have been using it on my 20 month old gelding and I have found it good and haven't found it to be heating. He has readi grass, sugar beet and sure grow. Plus as lib hay. He seems to be doing fine on that.

My youngster was on it for around the first 3 years of his life. It never heated him up and he thrived on it. He is now 17.1 at 3 1/2. Gulp.

I have used Suregrow for years, mares, foals, youngstock, never noticed any heating issues.

I suppose like many things it depends how much you feed. It is very high in protein but you feed such a small amount the protein content becomes irrelevant

I didnt feed a large amount but didnt notice any heating effects.

Nope not at all ! 2 year old thrives on it , I'll be loathed to ever take him off it !

Considering popping my good doer hunter on it too

I've used it for 4 years now and not had any problems with it at all; they've all done well on it and grown evenly, no rapid spurts at all.

Another one here who's used it for year with various horses (all hot headed TBs) with no heating effect.

oooh mine has NEVER been bum high either - he grows like a person out then up out then up if that makes sense
